Session descriptions

Dance Easy: the role of dance for people who are breathless (with Sian Williams) – 5.30pm & 7.20pm
Join a taster dance session created with and for people who live with chronic breathlessness in Haringey. Come and have a go, and experience why we believe that dance can provide exercise for breathless people in a culturally familiar form, engage the entire body and change the language of engagement with a therapeutic programme. The session will be led by Siân Williams, dance leader for older people. Please wear loose clothing and flat shows (or shoes you can remove). There will be music!

Breath and Data (with Miriam Quick) – 6.45pm
Miriam will discuss the creative process behind two projects collaboratively created with Stefanie Posavec – Air Transformed (2015) which features in the London Catch Your Breath exhibition and Sleep Songs (2018) which was commissioned for the Durham exhibition. Miriam will explain how they transformed raw data into visual and musical artworks.
